How Laser Hair Removal Works

Consultation and Assessment: Before the first treatment, you will need to schedule a free consultation and fill out a questionnaire to ensure that you are suitable for laser hair removal. We will assess your skin and hair type as well as the areas to be treated. You can then book your laser hair removal session 24 hours later or at your earliest convenience.

The Treatment: We use the technique of selective photothermolysis. During the session, our experienced laser therapists use the Diode laser to target hair follicles beneath the skin. This advanced technology ensures effective hair reduction for both light and dark skin tones. The light from the laser is directed specifically into the hair follicle. The melanin in the hair absorbs the light, converts it into heat effectively destroying them and preventing future hair growth without damaging the surrounding skin. You may feel a slight pinching sensation, but most clients find the process to be comfortable and quick.

Follow-Up Sessions: For optimal results, multiple treatment sessions are required as hair grows in different phases. Laser hair removal is most effective in the anagen phase, i.e. the active growth phase. As not all hairs are in this phase at the same time, several sessions are necessary to remove all the hairs. Typically, around 8 to 12 sessions at intervals of 4 to 6 weeks are required to achieve long-lasting results. However, this depends on the individual hair growth, thickness of the hair and skin type.
